We have two races going on at the same time.

Sport (Run & Paddle) - Teams of 2 will trail run and paddle their way to the finish line, incurring "mystery events" along the way. No gear required - we provide the inflatable Sevylor Canoes, life jackets and paddles. (Trail running approx. 3-4 miles, Paddling approx. 30 min.)

Epic (Run, Paddle, Bike) - Teams of 2 will Run, Paddle and Mountain Bike their way to the finish line, incurring "mystery events" along the way. You must provide two mountain bikes (no road bikes or cross bikes allowed) and certified cycling helmets, and we provide the inflatable Sevylor canoes, life jackets, and paddles. (Trail running approx. 3-4 miles, Paddling approx. 30 minutes, mountain biking approx. 8-14 miles)

Registration & General Information

EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE: April 10 , 2010

Entry Fees per team of 2:

• $80 Sport (Run & Paddle) ($40 per person)
• $100 Epic (Run, Paddle, Bike) ($50 per person) (We provide the boats, life jackets and paddles)

Late Registration Fees:

• $90 Sport (Run & Paddle) ($45 per person)
• $110 Epic (Run, Paddle, Bike) ($55 per person) We provide the boats, life jackets and paddles.

Entry Includes: Race T-shirt (if preregistered by April 10th, 2010) & Land Use Fee
Expected Racers for first year: 200
Prizes: Awards for 1st - 5th, all categories. Prizes to 1st place in all categories.

A USARA license is required for this event. You may purchase a one-day license for $8 or an annual membership for $35. Please save time at check-in by purchasing your one-day ahead of time during your online registeration, or if you are buying a one-year license, go to www.usara.com. You can also pay on race day by cash or a check only made payable to USARA. We do not accept credit cards on race day.

Race check in & starting time (Teams can check in at the race site): 

Saturday from 7:00 am - 8:30 am.
Pre race meeting is at 8:30 am & race start time is 9:00 am.

General Information

SUGGESTED ADDITIONAL GEAR - This is not required but you may want some or all of this gear for the event:

There will be a central transition area where teams can set up a transistion area. During the race the teams will pass through this area several times making it possible to reload on food, water, change clothes, etc. There are no water stations along the course. You are responsible to keep yourself hydrated with fluids you provide. Teammates must remain in visual contact with each other at all times.

Rules

• Teams must stay together (within 20 seconds for the 2-person teams, and will race to designated checkpoints along the course. All teams must be TOGETHER at the finish line. Your time stops when the last teammate crosses the line.
• If one team member drops out, the team will be ranked behind the last complete team in that category. 
• The race is ongoing - it is up to your team when or if you stop and rest. 
• The first team to complete all legs of the race WINS!
• Unsportsmanlike actions or language will not be tolerated.  Automatic disqualification.
• Must wear helmet at all times when on bike - even before and after race if on your bike!
