Real Women. Real Adventure!
This is a women's only course designed to be challenging for all teams yet easy enough for teams with little or no experience in adventure racing to successfully complete. The course will contain trekking, non-technical mountain biking, lake paddling and simple navigation with map and compass. If you can find your way to Reveille Peak Ranch you will be able to navigate the race course. You must bring or rent your own bikes, boats, paddles and life jackets. Teams will receive topo maps at the start of the race and UTM coordinates (no GPS units allowed). The course is designed to be completed in 3-4 hours for the winning teams, with a 6-hour cutoff.
Adventure Class: This class is for the racer who is in it for the challenge and adventure. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, recreational hiker or new to adventure racing then this is the class for you. If you just got a mountain bike and are still walking up or down hills then this class is for you. We’ll have a “Virgin Racer” area in transition where we can help or assist you with questions during the race, and just in case you want a little extra navigation help, we will provide pre-plotted maps for a 30-minute time penalty.
Competitor Class: This Class is geared toward the competitive adventure racer. If you are an experienced adventure racer or spend your weekends training for or competing in adventure races, triathlons, mountain bike races or trail runs, this class is for you.
