2013 Reveille Peak 100
Bluebonnet XTERRA Trail Run
April 21st & 22nd, 2012
RunTex and Terra Firma Racing set to host Bluebonnet Adventure Fest!
Texas is more than a state of mind, it’s an adventure! Reveille Peak Ranch and Terra Firma Racing are hosting the Second Annual Bluebonnet Adventure Fest in Burnet, Texas.
Reveille Peak Ranch, a 1300-acre outdoor adventure, educational and recreational events center overlooking Lake Buchanan and Ink’s Lake, has recently opened its miles and mountains of newly developed bike and running trails which are getting rave reviews from industry insiders, avid mountain bikers and trail runners.
The Bluebonnet Adventure Fest will include a weekend full of trail running, adventure racing, kid's events, and off-road triathlon.
The Bluebonnet Adventure Fest will have plenty to do for racers and non-racers alike! The whole family can enjoy lots of great food, live music, and an amazing display of bluebonnets and wildflowers!
Bluebonnet XTERRA Trail Run: (5K & 10K) This is an XTERRA trail run and is also part of the Trail Runner Trophy Series. Gorgeous granite rock outcroppings, challenging hilly terrain, and beautiful views await. The 5k will wind down dirt ranch roads through the beautiful hills of granite and bluebonnets and return to the start/finish line on a beautiful single-track hiking trail. You will have a great pavilion/picnic area overlooking a lake at the finish. The 10K route follows the same loop as the 5K before breaking off and climbing to the summit of Decision Point Peak (the highest point on the ranch) where your breath will be taken away (if it's not gone already from the climb) by the view from above. You will then wind your way back to the finish along jeep road and single-track hiking trail.
